I am a recent graduate of Nashville Software School! I decided to take the plunge from doing men's hair full time and have not looked back since. I wanted to find something with a great work-life balance that I could see myself doing for years. Basically, I found myself ready for a career instead of a job I knew I wouldn't want to do 5 years from now. I enjoy the problem solving and creativity it involves, not to mention the constant learning! I'm glad I have chosen a field that leaves little room for boredom.

Projects

Front-End & Back-End Projects

Movie-App

A front-end app (written in JavaScript, React, HTML and CSS) made for people, like me, who collect movies. Over time it got out of hand and I needed a way to keep track of what I owned and what I didn't. So, I made this app to help keep track! Your Home page shows you what popular movies are currently playing in theaters. Up top in the nav-bar the links take you to the "Collection" page, a page for all the movies you currently own. The next page is the "Need To Buy" page which is where you keep track of the movies you still dont have. And the last page is just a page for complaining about bad movies.
Front-End
  • Also used Bootstrap, React-Bootstrap, and Reactstrap for styling!
  • Pulled all movie titles and posters from an external API(TheMovieDB)

RantNRave

This is my back-end app RantNRave written in C#, CSS and .Net(also Identity and Razor)! It is an app for venting and letting off steam. Over time we get a lot of things going on in our minds and it's important to take the time to realize that it probably isn't necessary. So you come here and list it out and visually see how ridiculous you're being!
Back-End
  • Used Identity for register/login!
  • Has several references to The Office!

Interests

Apart from being a web developer, I play the Euphonium with the Williamson County Community Band. I've been with them for two years now and absolutely love it. I've made great friendships and get to play with 50+ AWESOME musicians!

Front-End

I also enjoy a good bit of nerding out with things like playing DND, having board game nights etc.. Also LOVE collecting old VHS tapes! And yes, i do actually have two functioning VCR's!

Front-End

One thing I love from my hair background is coloring hair! I do it to myself mostly but I do love doing it and experimenting with different color combinations!

Front-End Front-End Front-End

Another way to get to know someone is meeting their loved ones, so here's someone I love more than anything, Ghost! He is a 150lb Great Pyrenees that doesn't have time to deal with anyone's crap.
